Reese HalterAs Founder and President of Global Forest Science, Dr. Reese Halter has built an international reputation for initiating meaningful research designed to protect natural resources for future generations. He leads a team that encompasses more than 100 scientists from 29 universities in eight countries. Global Forest Science has become a world leader in preserving the world's temperate forests.

Halter is the author of Wild Weather: The Truth Behind Global Warming. It describes how climate change worsens hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, ice storms, droughts and wildfires. His most recent book, The Incomparable Honeybee & The Economics of Pollination, describes the worldwide collapse of honeybees and explains our dependence on bees to pollinate more than 100 crops. 

He speaks on protecting forests, global warming, extreme weather, the causes and consequences of and solutions to the honeybee collapse, the economics of pollination, protecting fragile ecosystems, and saving endangered species. In addition, as the ambassador for Global Forest’s children’s ecological education outreach program, he communicates his message of conservation, science and exploration to children around the world.
